Cellular Phone Policy In response to members concern about the intrusive nature of cell phones the Board of Governors has enacted this cell phone policy. The cell phone policy is intended to ensure all members enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of a club environment.
1. Subject to the following paragraphs which include certain permitted areas, the use of cell phones is prohibited whether on the course, in the golf shop and surrounding area, on the practice facilities and surrounding areas and in all common areas of the clubhouse.
2. The use of cell phones is only permitted inside the locker rooms, the phone rooms on the main floor of the clubhouse and the parking lot.
3. While cell phones may be used in the parking lot, please do not disturb tee box and greens areas.
4. No audible incoming calls may be received in any area. In permitted areas, only incoming beeper, text message and vibration messages are allowed.
5. Outgoing calls must be made in permitted areas only. The only exception to this is in a medical emergency when the caller is outside of the clubhouse. In such cases use appropriate discretion. There are land-line phones available for member and guest use on the main floor of the clubhouse in the phone rooms at the top of the stairs, in the locker rooms and at the 10th hole tee house. Members are to advise their guests in advance of the policy and ensure their guests comply with this policy. This will avoid any embarrassing situations arising from the enforcement of this policy by club management and staff. Management & staff are empowered to enforce the above cell phone policy. |
